As a logistics hub in the Middle East, Dubai cargo upgrade plan before the end of 2025 particularly highlights its China-related layout. By adding new direct flights to China and developing warehousing facilities tailored to the needs of Chinese enterprises, Dubai aims to create an efficient logistics corridor connecting "China–Dubai–the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Asia," further reducing the fulfillment costs and time efficiency thresholds for Chinese companies expanding into the Middle East.
In the second half of 2025, Dubai will prioritize the addition of two China-related cargo routes, directly benefiting Chinese companies in their goods export efforts:
SolitAir Dubai ⇄ Urumqi Direct Route: Offic launched on August 16, 2025, this is the first direct cargo route connecting Dubai and China's Xinjiang region. It covers high-frequency export categories for Chinese enterprises—electronic components, pharmaceutical reagents, fashion accessories, and fresh agricultural products—by skipping traditional transit links and compressing transportation time between the two locations to within 8 hours. For companies in northwestern and central-western China, there is no longer a need to route goods through eastern ports. Instead, they can directly connect to Dubai via Urumqi, thereby accessing markets in the Middle East and Central Asia, significantly reducing logistics costs and time efficiency losses
Emirates SkyCargo Milan ↔ Southern China (via Dubai) Charter Flights: In the third quarter (Q3) of 2025, two weekly charter flights will be added. Southern China, as a major hub for manufacturing and foreign trade exports, will see products such as furniture, electronics, and apparel transported via this route through Dubai to Milan, reducing transit time by 1–2 days. Leveraging Emirates' cold chain and security systems, high-value goods like premium home appliances and lightweight luxury apparel from China can reach European markets more safely and quickly. Meanwhile, Dubai's transit advantages provide flexible options for distributing goods to multiple countries in the Middle East.
